Read the Bible in a Year This evening read Galatians 2 Rejoice When Others Support Someone's Good Work Do you know what I mean by the title of this devotional? Picture this. A man puts together a good work, but he discovers that people he knows are giving their support to another good work. Rather than rejoicing that a good work is receiving support, he becomes jealous and rejects his friends or does some other action to show that he does not appreciate their support for another good work. Now, listen to Galatians 2:8, 8 (for He who worked effectively in Peter for the apostleship to the circumcised also worked effectively in me toward the Gentiles) (Gal. 2:8). Paul was grown up enough to realize that everyone in the church did not have to support his work, because there were others doing good works. Therefore, he rejoiced when another Christian was doing good things and that others were supporting those good works. Seek to imitate Paul's attitude.
