Read the Bible in a Year This morning read Song of Solomon 6--8 She Was the Work of a Skillful Workman Pardon me if I sound like a creationist here (we just concluded a Creation Seminar and so it is on my mind), but when I read Song of Solomon 7:1, I see beauty and the artwork of the Master Artist, 1 How beautiful are your feet in sandals, O prince’s daughter! The curves of your thighs are like jewels, The work of the hands of a skillful workman. (S. of S. 7:1). Solomon saw beauty in his wife. Solomon saw the artwork of the Master Artist. Solomon looked at the Shulamite and he knew that she was no accident. He saw her and she became the desire of his eyes, even as we behold a beautiful piece of art that captivates us. Can you see God's skillful work in your spouse? Can you see God's skillful work in other people? If you cannot see God's art, why not? Is the problem in the artwork, the Artist, or the viewer?
