Read the Bible in a Year This morning read Isaiah 17--19 One Only In Christ Speaking of the work of the Savior (Isa. 19:20), Isaiah prophesied, 24 In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria�a blessing in the midst of the land (Isa. 19:24). Egypt enslaved Israel. Assyria conquered Israel and took the nation captive. Egypt and Assyrian fought one another. Imagine those three nations, or people from those nations, being one. That sounds impossible. Through the ways of man, it is impossible. Just look at the Middle East. How much fighting has there been over the centuries, no, over the millennia? Yet, in Christ all things are possible. As it is written in Ephesians 1:10, 10 ...in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth--in Him (Eph. 1:10). I have seen it. People from every walk of life come together in Christ in the church. Is anything more beautiful?
