Read the Bible in a Year
This morning read Isaiah 26 and 27

What God Really Wants

If necessary, the God of heaven can be a God of wrath, but that is not His preference. Listen to Isaiah 27:4, 5,

4	"Fury is not in Me.
	Who would set briers and thorns
	Against Me in battle?
	I would go through them,
	I would burn them together.
5	Or let him take hold of My strength,
	That he may make peace with Me;
	And he shall make peace with Me."
	(Isa. 27:4, 5).

Fury is not in the heart of God, although, if challenged, He will march through those who oppose Him and burn them. However, what He prefers is that a person take hold of His strength and be at peace with Him. Friends, He is our Father. We are His children. That means we imitate Him. Therefore, let us remove fury from our hearts and desire peace with others.
