Read the Bible in a Year
This morning read Hosea 12--14

Are You Wise?

As I read and meditated upon Hosea chapters 12--14, I first came across Hosea 12:6 that seemed like it would be a good verse for this devotional,

	So you, by the help of your God, return;
	Observe mercy and justice,
	And wait on your God continually.
	(Hos. 12:6, NKJV).

However, as I kept reading, many passages stood out and I wondered whether I should use those verses for a devotional. Finally, I came to the last verse of the Book of Hosea and it said it all,

	Who is wise?
	Let him understand these things.
	Who is prudent?
	Let him know them.
	For the ways of the LORD are right;
	The righteous walk in them,
	But transgressors stumble in them.
	(Hos. 14:9, NKJV)

The truth is this verse describes the entire Bible. Therefore, read and meditate upon the Scriptures day and night. Oh wait, you are already doing that. Therefore, you have chosen the wise thing to do and your wisdom shall increase.
