Read the Bible in a Year
This evening read Revelation 9

The Rest Did Not Repent

What is it that we are thinking when we witness someone suffer for a sin that we are also committing, but we do not cease the sin, or at least attempt to stop it after seeing the other guy suffer? This is the very thing that God shows about people in Revelation 9:20,

But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk.
(Rev. 9:20, NKJV)

Verse 21 adds,

And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.
(Rev. 9:21, NKJV)

Is sin that enjoyable that we will refuse to repent? Is sin that much of a master that we cannot cut ourselves off from it? Yes and yes. The best thing is not to engage in sin, but we all have. Therefore, it is best not to add to our sins. Otherwise, meditating on Scripture day and night, as you are doing, is part of the solution.
