Read the Bible in a Year
This evening read Revelation 10

What Did the Seven Thunders Say?

The Book of Revelation is just that, a book of revealing. However, God did not reveal all things.

Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.
(Rev. 10:4, NKJV)

At the beginning, Jesus commanded John to write down the things that he saw and heard. Continuing to obey those instructions, he proceeded to write the words of the seven thunders. However, the Spirit did not want those things written. John heard what was said, but we cannot know what it was. Why then did the Bible even say that the seven thunders said something? Perhaps the Lord wants us to know that Scripture does not reveal everything. Scripture only reveals what we need to know, and we do not need to know everything. We do need to know is that God knows everything and that He is in control. Rest peacefully tonight, knowing these very things.
