Read the Bible in a Year This evening read Revelation 15 Fire for the Victors! Fire for the victors? Is not the reading for today in the Book of Revelation? Is not fire in this book speaking of the lake of fire, which is hell? Yes, to all three questions, except for the last one, we can add that the Book of Revelation also mentions fire in another place besides hell. In addition, what is interesting is that hell is pictured as a lake of fire and this other mention of fire is associated with another body of water, the sea. Listen to Revelation 15:2, And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God. (Rev. 15:2, NKJV) What a marvelous picture! Can you see the picture? The victors have been through the fire, it purified them, and they won over the beast. Now they stand on a sea of glass mingled with fire and they are playing harps from God Himself. Do you have what it takes to stand on that sea of fire and glass? You do, if you follow the Lamb wherever He goes. Have you started that journey with a heart of full of faith, turning your back on a life of sin, and gone through the waters of baptism?
