Hi, Meg-- Please thank everyone for their prayers on behalf of those of us who live here in South Texas, along the Rio Grande River. God was good to us. We had a few power outages, a roof or two severely damaged, several with a few shingles blown off, a tree down here and there, and some signs downed. No disastrous damages anywhere around here. Prayers are needed for the two fishing villages in Mexico that took the direct hit from the storm. Someone said it looked like a war zone down there. Most of the people in those villages make their meager living fishing, and they lost everything. My own United Methodist church is already on the scene, taking action to help where they can. Again, thanks to everyone for their prayers for us in Texas. Now that the storm has passed, please direct your intercessory prayers to God for those who suffered real losses and hardships.
