OK

3 reports of no error, all running 8.5.1. I'm the only one who is getting
an error. I've done a clean system install - no change, so thats not it.
Run Norton - no problems.

Hypothesis 1: the temp folder must not be empty.

I can find "Temporary Items" folders on both partitions of my HD using the
'browse' mode in Resourcerer, (thou not Resedit). It also appears that the
demo program will work, if something has been placed in the temp items
folder by another program but not if the temp folder is untouched. eg:

restart - run compiled demo - error -43
restart - run resourcer - run demo - no error.

Hypothesis 2 : Multiple partitions on my HD

Does anyone know if 2 partitions on the HD could cause FINDFOLDER a
problem? IM indicates that there is a Temp Items folder created on each HD
(verified with resourcer), though I'm specifically asking for it on the
system disk.


Anyone got any other ideas?
