I have found a funny with QT4.

If you have _any_ TEXT file and append the suffix .au to it, then QT4 steps
in and converts it to a QT4 document.

For instance, open Simple Text, write anything and save as "untitled".

Go to the desktop, select the "untitled" name and append a .au to it. QT4
converts it into a QT4 file. Cute huh!

I stumbled across this when I created a new Eudora mail box called
webserver.com.au . I am in Australia where domain names end in .au.

The next time I restarted Eudora the webserver.com.au mailbox was gone.
Looking into the Eudora folder I found that my text files had been
converted in QT4. Res Edit to the rescue. Changing the Type and Creator
back allowed me to retrieve my emails in that mailbox. 8)
