Message from Glen regarding the associate.com mail servers! Please note
that I'll be out of town that day, but I'll try to check in remotely.
From what I've seen of Linux (my own ISP, hex.net, uses it, and my boss
is in the local users group), this'll be _much_ less painful than if he
was running the servers on NT...

Hi folks,

This coming Saturday, 28th at 9am EST I would like to do a couple hours
of Y2K
testing on the server here. Simply, it will involve rolling the clock
forward
to 11:55pm on Dec 31, 1999 and watching all the systems make their
transition.

I'll take records on what happens, replace faulty programs, look for
replacements and do upgrades, etc. This will ease my load at the end of
the
year. My expectation is to find very little wrong. I'm optimistic about
Linux.
(-;

Some mail messages will be generated by the server, having Jan 1, 2000
dates.
These dates may cause trouble on YOUR computer and ISP if their systems
are
not Y2K ready. August is considered late in the Y2K diagnosis game, so I
hope any troubles found will wake people up.

The server will be restored to the correct time by 11am EST.

Thanks,

Glen
