I did run a couple of tests (not necessarily comprehensive) and saw 
nothing corresponding to the info Sean published. I'm guessing it was 
fixed in an update at some point. Rick's bug remains (in FBII--haven't 
checked on 3), and is documented in the FAQ. So until I see a demo of 
this bug, I'll recommend leaving the FAQ as is.

P.S. I did have a bit-twiddling FAQ half done last summer, but it was one 
of the things I lost to a system/disk-corruption problem. :-(
