I always use the Window title bar

'w$=STR$(MyVariable)+" "+STR$(MyOtherVariable)
WINDOW currwin,w$

this has been particularly useful since I have been develping 640x480 projects on
800x600 screens. Not much use if you can't see the Title bar but doesn't have any
refresh problems.
