It also lost the Time Zone .. Falling back to Greenwich Time .. On Start Up, I got an alert telling me my Clock was set at the wrong date A new Battery is expensive/ for its size .. about the size of the last joint of my little finger .. It is 3.6 volt .. and cost me $9 & change An advance warning & tip to owners of a 7100/66av .. The battery is a "Bearcat" to Get to .. It is under the Internal CD Drive in a space that only a baby's hand can get into I loosened the Front Mounts of the upper frame, laid it on its side and lifted the front of the upper frame high enough to get to the battery .. This is REAL TRICKY .. because the Male plug of the Power Unit is fixed on the upper frame unit and is pulled out of the Female plug that is fixed on the Motherboard .. When you put the front end of the frame down into place .. if that Plug is a tad out of position .. and you force it .. YOU'VE got BIG TROUBLE .. BUT .. I think that a pair of LONG .. at least 8 inches .. and very heavy duty Tweezers with a wide tip .. would let you reach in .. Pop the top off the Battery case .. replace the Battery .. and pop the top of the case back on ..
