Granted, programming is a different type of critter in that what you do to solve one set of problems may employ identical code to solve another distant and completely different problem. However, I don't see a way around that other than writing redundant explanations. One can try to isolate various common problems and thereby provide solutions for these specific needs via example. But, the possibilities provided by the robust nature of the language prohibits providing examples of every possibility. This is similar to common written language. We have a set of alpha characters that can be combined to make words; and those words to make sentences; and those sentences to make paragraphs; and those paragraphs to make the entire Library of Congress.
