We've been storing window positions and various other bits of information in
a prefs file in the Preferences Folder inside the System Folder. Is it
possible to store this kind of info in the applications own resources
somehow?

In short, is it possible for an application to modify its own resources? As
an example, can we write the top and left coordinates of a window in
something that can be retrieved by something as simple as:

location$ =  STR#(xx,yy)

Or, is this just considered bad form?
