I think we must make every attempt to keep all Mac software consistant with the Macintosh user interface. Cmd-Q is the official quit. Even if you have a dialog with a Quit in it or a special game screen, cmd-Q should also start the process. Poor old Windows still has this interface problem. Of course DOS was worse...I remember in the early days when F10 was a biggie but not always for the same thing. Even today, I have a piece of software I use to develop Windows help files and CTRL-C and CTRL-V do not copy and paste. Very frustrating.
