I bought a cross-over ethernet cable and connected my old 7200/75 to my new iMac so I can transfer my files to the new machine. I've never used networking before, and I can't get the two machines to talk. I think the problem is the Appletalk control panel in Sys 7.6.1 on the 7200 doesn't have a selection for ethernet, just modem port or printer port. What am I doing wrong? File sharing is on, and Appletalk is set to active. I also may not have all the files necessary for networking installed, since I had removed them because I wasn't using networking. In the extensions folder I have: Apple Built-In Ethernet AppleShare ENET Compatability Ethertalk Phase 2 File Sharing Extension Network Extension Open Tpt AppleTalk Library OpenTptAppleTalkLib In the control panels folder I have: AppleTalk File Sharing Monitor Sharing Setup Users & Groups All help is appreciated. Thanks Larry
