I remeber seeing an INIT call "Bail" (I hope thats right), that would let 
you escape from application launches.  It was intended for local drives, 
but I don't see why it wouldn't work over a LAN/WAN.

As a side point, I noted that ARA warns you if an application will be 
launched from a remote server...
