I used to do that too, but when my main drive is almost 30 GBs, I have trouble using one of equal size for backup. I did order one once, but I waited three months for delivery - they were changing types - and then I forgot, and then I couldn't afford it; so I'm back to zips. I know that I don't need one that is as large if I just backup the data, but if I'm going to do this, I might just as well go the whole route and backup the entire drive - think of the time I'd save if it ever were to happen. I've though of tapes, but I just finished doing a backup for a client who uses PCs, and a mere 17 GB drive took 68 hrs to backup/compare files etc. So I've decided I'm going to get me one of those new G4 Titaniums, hook it up to my Desktop G4, have the same on both and work on them interchangeably. That'll give me mobility and backup at the same time. Not sure exactly what procedure I'll use, but I like the idea. With a 15" screen, that'll make it worthwhile. I wonder if I can hook up the Desktop so that I can use the Titanium's screen as a second screen. Hmn. Ideas are welcome. Joe Wilkins
