If FB is regarded as a religion to whose tenets adherents must subscribe or perish its market may be limited to true believers. I recall a previous announcement that said that FB3 would not contain GOSUBs or GOTOs (apologies if my recollection is incorrect). I have inherited a lot of old QB code that I have to update. GOTOs I can do without, but FB3 will be useless to me if doesn't contain GOSUBs. If I want to write programs in a politically incorrect way I shall buy the product that allows me to do so. Remember the words of Tallyrand, the great survivor of the French ancien regime, the revolution, the Directorate and Napoleon. "Above all, no zeal!" Incidentally, QuickBASIC had one virtue for which it gets too little credit, it was quick. Andrew Stewart
