What I think I was saying (my two remaining working brain cells make me wonder sometimes), is that if I'm running several apps that have a lot of files open already, and perhaps running eleventy-seven INITs besides, I'll reach the open file limit before someone else does who is running little else but the D&D program in question. In other words, pure speculation on my part, in the hope that someone more knowledgeable about the matter might blow large jagged holes in my statement and teach me something.
