Not only the two demos I have uploaded from your site work fine here, but the worst of all is that I have already adapted this code for FB^3, (I did the work last December). My intent was to give it to Staz for inclusion on the CD, but he said to me at that time that they've already done the work for the Release 4, and I forgot about it (see path: Release 4 Examples:Files/Volumes:File Handling:Copy Files.bas). I've just retrieved my own code and tried it. It works too!!! So, the bug that originated the thread was mine, I have not yet found where it was in the code I sent to the list but why did I need to reinvent the wheel, after all? It is possible also that the problem I had was related to the use of the temporary system folder, or perhaps I have left open the resource fork of the source file. -- Cheers Alain ----------------------------------------------------- FB^3 in Europe: http://euro.futurebasic.com/ FB II Pouch: http://www.pixmix.com/FB/outils.html -----------------------------------------------------
