Your instructions worked. Didn't even have to restart to see the printers or shared disks. Apple's technical writing has declined dramatically in the past few years. Why would Apple sell a networking device with critical network features turned off and poor documentation on where and how to turn it on? Also, the Airport cards do not come with installation instructions. It's some sort of skill test to see if the end user can figure that the green printed circuit board is not needed for a G4 installation then disassemble the unit and install only the metal cased portion.
