Hi all,

Robert Covington is finally talking about the *true* custom icon
mechanism, which I believe always has ID of -16445. For those
who propose to use Resedit, note that it must be accompanied by
a 'set' "custom icon" bit (in the case of files).  See "Get info"
item in the Files menu.

The described resedit-like powers of Command I under the Finder
are impressive and compensate for the impotence of the Finder
with folders and aliases. Indeed, they apply equally to Folders
and Aliases, giving the common mortal a lot of power (which
sadly he is usually unaware of).

Q: How do I play with resources in alias files? (I do not mean
the resources of the parent)
