Staz,
  Problem solved , I ran through it with the dubugger
at home and found that it is calling the
initialization function twice, therby creating all the
GWorlds the first time and then trying to recreate
them again and running out of ram but the handles to
the old ones get wiped over.

  The second problem was that the debugger wasn't
updating itslef properly ie it was updating it's list
of local variables properly. It happened once with the
globals and I clicked and it refereshed.

  Without release 4 I couldn't tell you if it was
still in there.
