As an interesting sideline, you can modulate the clock on a new G5 to
emulate a GPS satellite: it can generate both L1 and L2 frequencies. I
understand, also, that there is a spread-spectrum link to the CD ROM
generated on an uncommitted port pin. Another pin can be used to generate
the local oscillator signal for a direct-conversion radio telescope in the
21 cm band.
