attachments get blocked by the associate.com listserver. we all know [or we
should by now] that the procedure is to put them in the fb dropbox.
occasionally it seems an attachment slips through, i believe that this is
because the sender's mail client codes it carefully and the listserv
believes that it is text in the body, and then some have mail clients that
are clever enough to see that this is in fact an attchment and stick in back
on the end.

apart from that attachments aren't cool because folks may connect from
different places, not be interested in the file, pay for connect time, and
so on. let's be nice to them.
