offhand i'd say no.

opendialog and closedialog would seem to be symmetrical calls.
disposedialog looks like it would be used when you grab a dialog from a
resource and need to free up the memory.

as to stuff not being available under x. i suppose that you are talking
about the carbon library. as support for these in fb^3 is still an on-going
question my advice would be to wait. [or hope that one of the fb^3 carbon/x
gurus - yes there are some - takes an interest in your question and gives
you more constructive advice].
