It seems to be a faster night if you do something like:

x = ra * usr _cosine(255 * 1.74532925199433E-02 * angle)/255 + xc
y = ra * usr _sine(255 * 1.74532925199433E-02 * angle)/255 + yc

This is not refined: a further tweak is indicated.
