Umm .. as a slight aside from this it may be worth looking at a couple of
new directions in net based resources. As in, you may not use these these
now, but it may be worth thinking about building in the method to access
them.

I have been in conversation with the NCSA who have a number of
supercomputer clusters each with up to 1200 processors. One project is at
the university of Mississippi, where a real time internet II voice language
translation project is underway. I don't have the URL to hand though.

Something worth looking at, is at the MIT Aesthetics and Computation Group,
<http://acg.media.mit.edu/> , where Matt Grenby has been working on a 3d
Dictionary called Gradus <http://acg.media.mit.edu/people/grenby/gradus> .
(Also a 3D colour picker - Bobbert).

Just a thought ....
