I'm not using an installer at the moment, my users just drag a folder 
onto their hard drive. When my application's launched, it creates its 
pref files and other folders if they don't already exist.

I downloaded and registered FileStorm, but I haven't had a chance to give 
it a "real world" try yet. It's mostly a disk-burning application, but it 
includes options for an installer (I think the "Pro" version includes an 
installer).
