Nice Poem. When I haven't stayed up all night, I shall read it again, and be more amused. :) >p.s. Don't use your old DiskWarrior CD-- it will hose the UNIX links. >You need the latest version specifically for OS X. You also got the >wrong company. Micromat does TechTool. You need Alsoft: I know Micromat makes TechTool and Alsoft does Diskwarrior. I was considering TechTool Pro as well... >www.alsoft.com> >p.p.s I warned you: Get the latest copy of DiskWarrior or live to >regret it. I expect an OS X native version to be released any day >now... probably the day after you buy your copy! I plan to get it. But if the version I buy at Comp USA isn't the same one that boots a Mirrored Drive door model (yes, they actually make you pay another $15 with shipping to get a MDD bootable CD) then I will be SOL SOL SOL. I plan to call them first and ask. When they open. I hosed OS 8.6 for ages, constant crashes. Never a problem like this. I think this thing is built on Eggshells. Not sure I will be booting OS 9 for any dev work at least.. Egads. What stinks is that I almost bought Diskwarrior the other week...but thought, no, I need that $70 for something else. And I still do. But pooey. I need to get a week's worth of slide scanning off the machine before I reformat to happiness and joy. And back to 10.2.3 and a happier modem. ;) Thanks for the tips, Ken and Pete. X Key , no help. It boots 9.2 using the 10.2 Jag inclusion, but I can't get the Startup Disk control panel arrow to tab down without a mouse (I guess the USB driver isn't up to date enough in 9.2).is there a key command that will open a folder arrow? If so, there might be an OSX folder sitting there that I can choose somehow. :( Robert Bob Robert Bob
