What is required, or what is one to be aware of when doing fullscreen 
work, such as with a slide show application, or game, and hiding the 
dock, returning it, and such?

Is the case that OSX now hides it automatically when it sees a big full 
screen window going up? Or just when it sees direct drawing to the 
screen going on?

Is there a particular technote somewhere I can be pointed to?

I searched on Google, and Developer connection for "Hiding the Doc"k, 
and nothing of same phrase popped up at all.

I don't get that at all. Seems like it would be a FAQ.

Is this Google's Law? Searching for intuitive phrases returns nothing, 
ever? :) ( I used "Hiding the Dock OS X" and "Hiding the Dock OSX" in 
Google, "Hiding the Dock"  when doing Apple searches in Dev Connection.

Situation exactly: Slide show application, I put up a full size 
window...I need the dock to go away (if it won't automatically) and 
return it  when done, if it was showing.
