Thanks Ken and Alain,
Thanks to both for help with the search in edit fields. I was surprised to
see Alains example was almost identical to mine but mine wasn't working. I
tried again and by putting the HandToHand function back in it worked. I'm
not sure what I was doing wrong. Also thanks for the explanation of the
routine. Ken, sorry but yours was to large for me to sift through to repair
my wayward function. I'll look into it later to see if there are an gems I
can mine from it. I would like to see Jay's routine. I'm guessing it is a
fuzzy find routine which might be helpful too.

Ken, I realize my amended 'days between dates' routine introduced a problem
that your original routine doesn't have. The reason for my routine is it is
used in a database program and the fields are all in MM/DD/YY format.
Because the date fields are already in this format I'm forced to use my
routine as is. Yes this will break if a date is <1950 or >2049 but dates
<1950 will never be encountered in the database and I'll be dead and gone
before 2050 so let someone else work that out then!

It's great to have a wealth of knowledge to fall back on when one stumbles.
Craig
