Has anybody been able to compile a carbon app that runs in the 
background like a daemon (I can hide it, but not remove it from the 
dock)?

I have tried the technique for RealBASIC as described in 
http://www.resexcellence.com/realbasic/05-02-03.shtml, but without 
success. FB does have a PLST resource, but it is empty. Adding the 
specified text does nothing re it's hidden-ness.
