Hi Craig, I have been working with and selling bar code readers for the Mac since 1985. All Mac bar code readers interface via the keyboard. To any program, when an item is scanned, it appears as thought it was typed on the keyboard. The readers can be programmed to generate a return character after the scan. So you really don't need a single line of special code, just an edit field to capture the scan. Actually you don't even need that. I have a couple of readers on my commercial site and several others have provided other links. I also have FB code that generates a Code 39 bar code, albeit at only 72dpi, but it works fine if you don't need to generate very small bar codes. I use this for my point-of-sale application, MacPOS. Subject: Barcode readers Hi all, I'm hoping a least one of you out there has had some experience with barcode scanners and printers. I'm looking for one that I can use with an FB project. If anyone has some experience with barcode readers and or use with FB please let me know what you would recommend. I'm also looking for a label printer for printing barcode stickers. Any FB code for use in these scanners is a major plus. Thanks Craig ====================================================================== Aztech Professional On-Site Service
