I'd been down that road with DEF SetButtonFontStyle and thought it didn't work. It turns out I had a second problem. For the mask ( cfs.flags = _kControlUseFontMask + _kControlUseFaceMask + _kControlUseBackColorMask) the last parm is not necessary for my usage. So this becomes: cfs.flags = _kControlUseFontMask + _kControlUseFaceMask. That change plus the SetButtonFontStyle produces the desired result. thanks again....Brian Short Thank You: Lately there have been some wonderful donations to this list. Those folks are deservedly recognized for their incredible efforts on behalf of the FB community. Others also make regular contributions of working examples in some of the frontier (at least for me!) areas. I don't want to list names because I'm sure I'd forget some and embarrass me and upset the omitted, but I do want to say THANK YOU to all those who donate their precious time and help everyone (including me) with their insights and examples.
