JPEG, GIF, or BMP. If they're more than 200 colors, JPEG is the best bet; 
make sure the filename is 8 chars or less, with an extension of ".JPG". 
If you use GraphicConverter, either make sure he has QuickTime, or choose 
the "JPEG 6" option for "Library" in the "Options" dialog from "Save 
As..." You can probably use the highest quality, unless you _want_ to 
compress the image size.

Oh; don't use Stuffit or any other Mac file compression unless you know 
he has Unstuffit For Windows... or if you can create a .zip file. 
(MacZip?)
