HIScrollView...the new dark sciences. Got a brief demo for that one? I can test it at the 10.2.8 level for you (will check out DB For Dummies). Apparently no FB Examples use the HIScrollview yet. (searched on that, just got the 2 headers or so that have all that defined) Hmm. DB for Dummies: appears that a scroll wheel works as built for DB#11, but not for like DB#2 (various complexity levels Alain demo'ed.) And this would be your memory being correct...the Standard Handler is needed for it to work as that is set up. (it's present in DB#11) Off topic.. from someone just using a Mac (OSX) 2 button for the first time really... The best thing (for me) about a 2 button mouse is that right button whipping up Contextual menus in a jiffy. Now that adds a new user experience to the mix that all should learn to like (the 1 button mouse has seen its day since OS X, I must concur). But I still like me Apple mouse, because it's an elegant piece of clear work (as long as you keep that cord straight when going into it, the weak spot that breaks apparently) and the whole body clicker is just better on the RMI's (Repetitive Motion Injuries) I feel. Nobody will forget that hockey puck iMac mouse, that was a blunder for sure. Looked cool, but was style over function. I still remember those add on pieces to give it some feel for orientation. (And which gave it the footprint of the newer models) The best thing about the optical mousies is that you aren't spending some time every week cleaning a hair or gunk out of the mutatronibrators inside..or the ball. Stores can show the product too and not have some kid leave an empty cavity there thinking he's found a nice new class of marble. :) r c
