Robert Purves gave me this:

legalPMRect.left   = 0
legalPMRect.top    = 0
legalPMRect.right  = 594
legalPMRect.bottom = 985
err = fn PMSetPhysicalPaperSize( gFBPageFormat, legalPMRect )

and it is a great tool.   However 10.3.n  breaks 
PMSetPhysicalPaperSize( gFBPageFormat, legalPMRect )

Apple seems to think this is legacy code.   Is there another toolbox 
that will set the paper size.
