Considering the above, maybe I'm bowerbird -- that sounds a lot like me.

I realize that bb got under some people's skin, but he never bothered 
me. I first met him on aol and even welcomed him to the fb list in 
1996.

As far as asking for code, he certainly did do that, but so do I -- 
as well as others. On the other hand, as far as providing code, 
(apparently contrary to current list memory) he occasionally did that 
as well.

Sure, some of the things he did, such as pretending to be someone 
else, wasn't the brightest idea, but we all can't be as bright as 
others on this list.

BB's departure from the FB community came about after the generation 
of the X-FB list, which became problematic for more than just bb -- 
Jim Henson comes to mind, but we certainly don't need to go there.

This list, and it's members are great, but appears that maybe we're a 
bit long on remembering faults and too short on forgiving. But then 
again, maybe that's just my perception.
