Hi gang:
If one does a command-shift-4 key combination and then presses the
spacebar, a small camera appears and if you click a window, then the
content of that window is sent to the desktop as a "Picture" pdf file.

Is there a way to do this via FB?

In other words, could this operation be placed in a FB menu and
executed by a shorter command key sequence?

Brian had a good idea with a UNIX program. You might also be able to 
create an AppleEvents script that is callable from FutureBASIC.
