Don't use Program Generator.  You should be moving toward the 
Appearance Runtime, and PG was not written for it.  It will probably 
help to confuse you rather than simplify things.

If you don't have a copy of "Switching to FutureBASIC", I get one and 
read it thoroughly, It will help a lot.  Also, I'd recommend getting a 
copy of TWM at  <http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bernie.w/twm.htm>.  While 
not a program generator like PG, it is an excellent interface builder 
and will teach you much about the new appearance manager commands.  It 
will illustrate it is not as hard or complex as it seems.
