This is a battle I face every time I add a new feature to my 
application that is only supported by OS X. As long as FB4 produces 
single file carbon apps(and is one itself), there should be no issues 
for either running FB4 in OS 9 or producing apps with FB4 that run in 
OS9 for at least a while. Then again, there are many new technologies 
that could be added to FB4 that would impact  this. This is more of a 
discussion for the beta list.
