Ronald, The language is called FutureBASIC (you knew that). Staz has done an incredible job of making most things transparent for you. Almost everything you already know works. OS X, being object oriented, does not allow some of the [lazy] things we used to do and it definitely does not allow you to indiscriminately POKE things into places where you shouldn't be poken' things. There is a FN [Method] for just about everything you need but it isn't anything you should fear. Really. There is a quote I ran across that says, "He who marries the spirit of the age soon finds himself a widower." You don't have to jump in head first, just get your feet wet and the rest of us will be there with towels to dry you off if you slip and fall in. Start simple, one step at a time, and before you know it your running under OS X. Good luck, Max Taylor The MaxClass Guy
