Software companies can decide to drop support for classic applications at any time. You don't need Apple to tell you when to do it. Apple's decision to abandon classic is going to cause thousands of older programs to become useless. Think of the hundreds of thousands of man hours of effort that went in to creating those programs. This might be a good business decision for Apple, but considering all the programs that will be lost it is a terrible blow the community of Macintosh users. -Joe
