This kills me.... Apple (Gill Amelio) bought NeXT in 1996 for the NeXTStep OS. It seems it did not occur to some people that we were in for pretty radical change 10 years ago. I realized even back then that some things would change for the better, but many of the things I loved about the then current Mac OS were probably going to disappear. However, I had heard enough good things about NeXTStep that I was willing to give it a try. And I haven't been disappointed. And my experience with Windows told me that I UNIX of one form or another (Mac OS X, BSD, or Linux) would be my OS of choice. Scott Spencer SJ3 Software sj3@...
