Apple is shipping a C library file with the wrong type/creator on  
Intel Macs. This causes a problem running the FB editor. There are  
more details, but most of the list members are familiar with them.  
There is a fix available for this, so not to worry. Also, the fix has  
already been incorporated in the FB beta, so the next official rev of  
FB will have it. If you need it sooner just ask.

Check with the developers of the applications you run now to see if  
their products are compatible with Leopard(10.5). Most apps that run  
in 10.4 should have no problem in 10.5  Some items for Leopard are  
unknown. For example, will a PowerPC Mac running Leopard still have  
Classic? (Classic is already gone on Intel Macs). If running Classic  
apps this would be important to you.

Doubtful that upgrades will be *required* but developers may offer  
new releases of their products that take advantage of 10.5 features.  
If you are asking if those apps will run in 10.5, the answer is  
probably YES. However, you should always check with the developer to  
be sure.

Personally, I will wait a few point releases of Leopard before  
upgrading because my Tiger OS is stable and very dependable. It is  
possible I"ll buy a new machine replacement before I upgrade the OS.
